Software error messages
In rare cases, the software may display an error message. We recommend that you delete the temporary files as a first step and then check if the error message still appears.
Deleting temporary data
Open the Settings (accessible via the gear icon) and select Delete temporary data. Tick all three options and confirm with Delete now:
- Delete temporary data
- Delete downloaded designs
- Delete thumbnails
A dialogue box will appear informing you that the software needs to be closed. Please restart the software.
The error message should not appear again, but if it does, please check the following points
Error message always on the same page in a project
If the problem only occurs on certain pages, select the affected pages and delete the entire contents of these pages from the project. To do this, click Page in the right pane and select Select All. Remove the selected elements by pressing the delete key on your keyboard. There should be no elements left in Layers.
Then rename the image files, paste the content (the renamed image files, text boxes, etc.) back into the pages and save the project under a new name.
Images cannot be displayed/loaded
First check that the images are saved in a supported file format
macOS: Allow the design software full access to the hard drive. In the Security > Privacy > Full Disk Access section, you can specify which applications should have full disk access. Add your design software here. It should then be able to see your image sources. To avoid permission issues, you can also try saving the images to your desktop as a test.
I cannot upload my order
Please check your computer’s settings to see if a firewall or antivirus programme is blocking the software. If this is the case, unblock the Saal Design software in these programs. Uploading should then work without problems.
Unable to install or start software
If you are unable to install or start the Saal Design software, please check that the software is compatible with your operating system and that it is not blocked by your firewall.
Whether it is blocked by your firewall or virus scanner/antivirus program. If this is the case, please unblock the Saal Design software in these programs.
Software only starts in offline mode
Something is blocking the software from accessing the internet. Please check your computer’s settings to see if a firewall or antivirus program is blocking the software. If this is the case, unblock the Saal Design software in these programs. Uploading should then work without problems.
Error 3001, error 2038 or Access denied message
The software cannot access any files on your system. Please check that you have enough free space on your hard drive, that you have full access rights to all files and directories, and that no antivirus software is blocking access. If this is the case, unblock the Saal Design software in the relevant programs. Uploading should then work without problems.

Software error log
You can find the error log in the software by clicking on the Settings button with the gear in the top right corner and then clicking on the Open folder with log files button in the window that opens. Please send us all log files for the last 7 days.
